Long lines
I love the long lines I'm able to get through Farm Diggity. I have two BC mixes that I use for search and rescue and sometimes, due to traffic or other hazards, I need to work them on long lines for their safety. And my young dog (in training) will still need a long line until she is reliable at not chasing wildlife! The lines available through Farm Diggity are thinner than the bulky/heavy ones I see elsewhere. This makes these lines much easier to handle, and more flexible and less likely to get tangled around vegetation. I like the fact that they do not have a handle at the end so that the line won't catch on rocks or vegetation. The biothane material doesn't collect thorns, and grit or mud doesn't stick So it is much better than a webbing line. The bright colors available make it easy to see the line as we go through the woods, and easy to see if I do need to grab the line or stomp on it. The line can get a little slippery when wet, but it is thin enough that you can comfortably wrap it around your hand, or you can tie a small knot in it if you are just letting it drag and you need a hard stop. This is my go-to place for long lines!

I bought two different lengths and these long lines are just the best for training situations. Your herding dog can run around barnyard objects and the line slips easily past everything without catching or getting tangled.

Doesn't get caught
I love these BioThane drag lines! They are easy on the hands and don't get tangled as much as other check lines I've used.

Long lines
Love these longlines in the field, they don’t catch on grass and weeds. However, they do slide under your feet hard to stop. They also can’t take a dog putting their teeth on them even for a second. Not that we allow that.
